At VitalChurch Ministry, our mission is to revitalize churches in crisis or transition and see them reconciled and restored to unity, with gifted leadership in place, gospel values embedded, effective governance established, an exciting mission agreed on, and discipleship pathways engaged. We are distinctive because we are pastors with pastors’ hearts who’ve banded together to do something together.

VitalChurch accomplishes strategic and effective ministry mainly through three divisions:

1. Three Tiers of Church Diagnostics
2. Intentional Interim Pastorates
3. Church Resourcing on a variety of matters including coaching the pastoral search process, assisting with staff development, providing counsel on biblical eldership, or helping with succession planning

At the core of a revitalized church is intimacy with Christ. Our interim pastors help a church get to (or get back to) a place of intimacy. From that intimacy, we believe a natural outpouring will be that the congregation will begin to actively engage in their communities with the gospel message because what people cherish and value, they will want to commend to others (Psalm 67: 1-3).

During their time in a church, our experienced interim pastors also look to resolve any areas of conflict. They take the time to discover the real issues within the church (not just the presenting issues), and they facilitate reconciliation among congregation members and leadership when needed.

On a more practical level, we help churches get their systems in order. This could mean establishing written policies and procedures, clarifying the roles of staff and elders, or implementing any other needed organizational changes.

We consider our process to have been successful when the following five outcomes have been accomplished in a church:

1. Gospel values embedded
2. Gifted leaders empowered
3. Effective governance established
4. Compelling mission embraced
5. Discipleship pathways engaged
